Wiscopedia will not solicit your private information for any reason. No part of this site requires that you offer private information in order to view or edit content. However, wiscopedia is publicly available and freely editable so if you do post information on wiscopedia, expect that it will be made public.

If personal information has been uploaded about you by someone else, please contact one of the administrators (by making a message on our talk pages). We will remove the information and the log files. We will also endeavor to block the user providing the information. in the meantime, you may remove the information from the site yourself by editing the page in question. While you will not be able to eliminate the information entirely (because it is retained in the 'history' section), you will be able to keep it off the page itself. Removing it from the page itself will make it unsearchable by search engines such as google or yahoo.

If you represent an organization whose contact details are publicly available (i.e. in the yellow pages or accessible from a quick google search) and you wish to remove the contact information from our site, you may do so (as the site is meant to be freely editable by all). We would ask that you refrain from doing so unless you feel that the page and link are truly inappropriate--it requires a great deal of effort to compile information on hundreds of organizations and added work is lost time.

Thank you and have fun on Wiscopedia!
